Robbery Arrest

On Monday, November 25, 2013 the Auburn Police Division arrested Autumn R. Macon-Scaff, age 20 from Auburn, Alabama on a felony warrant for robbery first degree.  The arrest was the result of an investigation of a police report dated Sunday, November 24, 2013.  At approximately 9:00 p.m. officers responded to a call in the 200 Block of W. Longleaf Drive.  The victims told police that they were robbed at gun point by three individuals, who stole an Apple I-Phone valued at $250.00 and two hundred dollars in U.S. Currency, while they were visiting a residence in the area.  The suspects fled the scene on foot with the property and no one was seriously injured.


Macon-Scaff was developed as a suspect during the course of the investigation by detectives.   She was arrested by officers on the scene on an unrelated charge and taken into custody.  She was later arrested on the felony robbery warrant, while still in custody at the Lee County Jail and her bond was set at $100,000. 


On Tuesday, January 21, 2014 the Auburn Police Division arrested Da'Raebian S. Barefield, age 21 from Columbus, Georgia on a felony warrant charging him with robbery first degree.  The arrest is the result of an ongoing investigation of a robbery that occurred on November 24, 2013, at a residence located in the 200 block of West Longleaf Drive.  Barefield was subsequently identified as being one of the three individuals involved in the robbery.  He was also arrested for Failure to Appear and Probation Violation.  Barefield was transported to the Lee County jail and will be eligible for a $100,500. Bond. The investigation remains ongoing and additional arrest are possible.
