B & E Arrests in Auburn

October 28, 2013

On Monday, October 28, 2013 at approximately 3:38 a.m. the Auburn Police Division arrested a fourteen and fifteen year old juvenile, both from Opelika, Alabama on felony warrants for Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle and Theft of Property Third Degree.  The arrests stem from an investigation of a police report dated the same day in which a victim stated that someone entered their vehicle, a 1997 Jeep Wrangler, while parked in the 1200 Block of S. College Street, and stole an electronic device.   Upon receiving the complaint, Police responded to the area and located the juveniles in proximity to where the burglaries occurred.  Approximately $300 worth of property, taken from several vehicles, was recovered.

The juveniles were transported to the Lee County Youth Development Facility where they were being held pending a hearing.

The case remains under investigation by the Auburn Police Division and additional arrests are possible.
