On this date at approximately 11:54 A.M., officers of the Valley Police
Department responded to the Triangle Service Station, located at 3346 US
Highway 29, in reference to a panic alarm at that business. Upon arrival
officers found the cashier, identified as Chuck Hudmon, on the floor and
unresponsive. It appeared that Mr. Hudmon had suffered a single gunshot wound.
At that point officers requested medical assistance and the scene was turned
over to investigators. Mr. Hudmon was transported to George H. Lanier Hospital
where he was able to tell officers that his assailants were two black males.
One was tall, muscular, and wearing an orange shirt. The other was shorter. A
witness who was in the area stated that he saw a gold colored, extended cab
pick-up with two black males leave the business shortly after the call was put
out. The vehicle was last seen traveling north on Highway 29 and has the
initials “UK” in the back window. If anyone has any information concerning this
crime please contact the Valley Police Department at 334-756-5200 or the Valley
Area Crime Stoppers at 337-756-8200.
