Murder Arrest in Opelika

On 4/4/2004, (2:26 PM) officers of the Opelika Police Department responded to
3500 Dale Avenue (King’s Trailer Park) in reference to a reported assault
victim. The victim, Kevin Earl Webb, of Opelika, was found inside of the
residence and was pronounced dead on the scene with apparent gunshot wounds.
The case has been continually investigated by members of the Opelika Police
Department Investigative Services Division.
On 7/31/2013, (1:36 PM), Timothy
Lamar Chambers, age 33 of Opelika, was arrested at 14th Street and
First Avenue for outstanding warrants and charged with Murder and Robbery First
Degree in connection with incident. He was taken into custody without incident.
Chambers was transported to the Opelika Police Department where he was
interviewed and later transported to the Lee County Detention Facility.
