Drug Arrest in Auburn

On Tuesday, June 25, 2013 the Auburn Police Division’s vice
and narcotics unit arrested Mark A. Warnock, Jr., age 25 of Auburn on felony warrants
charging him with Distribution of a Controlled Substance (Alprazolam) and
Possession of a Controlled Substance (Alprazolam). Warnock was taken into custody following a
traffic stop in the 2900 block of East University Drive. A subsequent search of his Auburn residence
yielded in excess of 1,500 tablets of prescription medication which was seized
by investigators. A 2011 Ford F-250 pickup
truck and over $4,600 in cash were also seized.
Warnock was transported to the Lee County Detention Center where he is
currently being held on a $7,500 bond. His
arrest is the result of an on-going investigation into the distribution of
illicit drugs in the Auburn area. Other
arrests and charges are likely.
