On Friday, October 26, 2012 the Auburn Police Division arrested Bernard Pierson, age 36, and Desi D. Drisker, age 20, both of Auburn and charged each of them with two counts of Burglary 3rd Degree, Theft of Property 2nd Degree, Theft of Property 3rd Degree, and Possession of Burglar’s Tools. Their arrests stem from the investigation of a suspicious vehicle complaint called in to police by an alert citizen. Patrol officers responding to the area stopped the vehicle in the 2000 block of Wire Road and contacted its occupants identified as Pierson and Drisker. Property stolen earlier in the day from homes located in the 2700 block of Lee Road 12 and 400 block of Taleeda Court was recovered from inside the vehicle. Officers also learned that Pierson was wanted on four outstanding warrants on unrelated charges through the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Police had been on the lookout for a white sport utility vehicle similar to the 1998 Lincoln Navigator the pair was occupying. Other citizens, witnesses and victims had reported seeing such a vehicle in their neighborhood following recent residential burglaries. Pierson and Drisker were transported to the Lee County Detention Center where their bond was set at $10,000 each. The investigation continues and other charges are likely.
