Auburn Theft Arrest

On Tuesday, June 19, 2012 the Auburn Police Division arrested Ashley D. Swartout, age 21, of Auburn on a warrant charging him with Theft of Property 2nd Degree. His arrest stems from the investigation of a police report dated October, 14, 2011 in which the victim, a local bank, stated that someone opened an account at their branch, made several deposits and then wrote personal checks that exceeded the available balance. Swartout was transported to the Lee County Detention Center where his bond was set at $3,000.
