Opelika Power Services Unveils New Logo

Opelika Power Services today unveiled a new company logo that represents its strong foundation for providing reliable electricity and illustrates the company’s transition to providing new services, enabling Opelika to be recognized as a “Smart” community.  Employees of OPS (formerly Opelika, Light and Power) selected the new look in a company wide vote choosing to keep some elements of the existing logo and incorporate a new design that represents the addition of a fiber network that will enhance the utility operation and add video, voice and data capabilities.  

OPS has provided the city of Opelika with over 100 years of reliable electric service.  With the addition of

Smart Grid technology, the electric system will become more effective and efficient while ensuring the delivery of modern broadband/triple play services to the Opelika community.  This new logo represents the ever-changing face of the City of Opelika – a strong, rich heritage and a city that is ready for economic growth and sustainability within a new infrastructure.
